Jewish Labyrinth Program – May 4th
We are bringing a new program to Temple Or Hadash on Sunday May 4th. This is for everyone of all ages, families, singles, and friends. We will be bringing a 25′ x 25′ labyrinth in the shape of a Magen David, and reviving this centuries old practice in Judaism. This will be from 10:30 till 12:30.
A maze – as many of us know – is intended to be a structural challenge. Starting from Point A, participants are challenged to make it to Point B, while avioiding as many wrong turns as possible. Labyrinths, on the other hand, have no dead ends. Instead, they have just one path that twist and turns itself to the cneter and back again, ending where it began though – because of the journey taken – participants feel and even arguably are different than before.
Thank You
Rick would like to thank Brooke Freeman for an outstanding job of organizing the Second Night Seder. Over 80 people are expected.
Special Service Fri Feb 7th
I want you to circle Friday, February 7 on your calendar and make plans to attend services. This night promises to create an extraordinary evening at the Senior Center you won’t soon forget.
This is going to be a very special service. Even Rabbi Ted and Barbara are driving up from Denver to be with us. I’m sure, if you don’t attend, once you hear the stories of what happened you’ll be sorry you weren’t there.
So, we’ve given you plenty of warning. Eat an early (or very late) dinner and be at the Senior Center to be part of what will prove to be one of the most spectacular highlights in the short history of Or Hadash! That’s all I can tell you about this service without spilling the beans! You’re just going to have to be there to experience the beauty and heartfelt richness of this once in a lifetime event.
Jazz, Dinner, and Friends on the 16th
Join us for Jazz and or Dinner on Thursday the 16th. Dinner will be 5:30 at East Moon (LeMay and Prospect) and the Jazz will be at John's Lutheran at 7pm (on Elizabeth a few blocks East of College). The Jazz is free and includes Norman Cohen playing in a jazz combo, a concert band and a Dixieland group. Please RSVP with Peter Springberg so he can make reservations for dinner.

Madrichim are post B’nai Mitzvah teens who are interested in helping out with the Religious School program. Madrichim are our youth leaders who help keep things running smoothly and provide a great role model for the younger students.
